A teacher who shot dead three shoppers because he was "bored with life" has been sentenced to death. Prasittichai Khaokaew, 38, admitted killing three people, including a two-year-old boy, and injuring five others before stealing gold jewellery worth £12,625 (500,000 baht) in Lopburi, Thailand, on January 9.
CCTV footage showed the primary school headteacher's killing spree before he fled on a motorcycle. He was arrested around two weeks later on January 22.
The Criminal Court in Bangkok handed gun-enthusiast Prasittichai a 1,000 baht (£25) fine and the maximum sentence of death by execution for committing murder during a robbery.
