Teacher, 29, returns to work just months after motorbike crashes into her in Thailand

An inspirational teacher returned to the classroom after a horror motorbike smash left her fighting for life just two months earlier.

Heroic Lauren Kay, 29, was mown down on a dream Thai holiday last November – leaving her with a horrific catalogue of facial injuries.

Lauren, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, was only given paracetamol as medics haggled over her insurance – even though her jaw was hanging off her face.

But she was back teaching primary school kids within two months – despite suffering a fractured skull, three broken ribs, a broken shoulder, a shattered cheekbone, a ruptured spleen, a lacerated liver, and a collapsed lung.
