SZA fans — she may be coming to a venue near you on the second leg of her 2023 ‘SOS’ Tour.From June 17 to Oct. 29, the New Jersey native will perform at 22 venues all over the UK and North America supporting her number one album “SOS” which came out in late 2022.That includes a stop at Newark’s Prudential Center on Oct.

SZA has announced a string of new tour dates, spanning across the UK, Europe and North America.Having recently finished a series of sold-out tour dates, SZA has revived her ‘SOS’ tour with ten new performances in Europe and twenty-one dates in North America.The second leg of the tour will see the Grammy-winning R&B artist perform at arenas in Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich, Berlin and Cologne, before moving through the UK for four shows. This includes two consecutive nights at London’s O2 Arena.All European dates will take place throughout June and will end with one performance in Dublin’s 3Arena.

SZA has been announced as the latest headliner set to appear at the 2023 Open’er festival, which will take place in Poland this summer.The long-running festival will be held at Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport in Gdynia and will run from June 28 to July 1.The singer-songwriter – whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe – will perform on the second night of the festival (June 29), in the headline slot. She also joins other previously announced headliners at the four-day stint – including a co-headline set with Lil Nas X and Lizzo on June 28, and Kendrick Lamar, who will close the festival with his performance on July 1.Arctic Monkeys were the first leading act to be added to the bill.

SZA‘s ‘SOS’ has broken a seven-year chart record in the US as it celebrates its ninth week at Number One.The long-awaited album, which was the singer’s first in half a decade and followed 2017’s ‘Ctrl’ upon release in December, has been riding high in the charts ever since it dropped.This week, it celebrated its ninth week at the summit of the Billboard 200 chart, making it the first album by a woman to hit that milestone in seven years. In its ninth week, the record sold 93,000 equivalent album units.The ninth chart-topping week breaks a record held by Adele‘s ’25’ since March 2016, with Taylor Swift the only other woman to achieve the mark in the last 10 years with ‘1989’.Billboard 200: #1(=) @sza, SOS 93,000 (1,401,000 units since release).

SZA has revealed that she has written 100 songs for her new album, adding that it could be released “any day” now.The singer’s long-awaited second album, and follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2017 debut ‘Ctrl’, has been touted for years, though she recently said she was in no rush to release it.Speaking to TMZ paparazzi at LAX airport, SZA has now revealed that she has written a huge amount of songs for the record over the last five years, and that its release date is still up in the air – but could be imminent.Revealing that the album’s rollout could start “any day” now, SZA was then asked how many songs she has written for the album.“Total? 100,” she replied. “Maybe, like, I don’t even know actually.

SZA will make her movie acting debut alongside Euphoria’s Chloe Cherry in Tuna Melt, according to reports.The film is being written and directed by writer and restaurateur Eddie Huang and is the figure’s second movie project following his directorial debut Boogie last year.According to Deadline, Tuna Melt has been compared to “an updated Pulp Fiction meets High Fidelity”. Huang will also star in the film, taking the lead role as a hitman who, after rendering his services, meets the love of his life.SZA is set to play Huang’s love interest, while Cherry’s role has yet to be disclosed.

SZA is pivoting to Hollywood. Deadline reports that the TDE artist will star opposite writer and director Eddie Huang in his upcoming movie Tuna Melt.
