Denzel Curry pulls out of KoRn London show, but vows to “make it up to you at Reading & Leeds”
KoRn show, Denzel Curry has promised fans he will “make it up” to them at Reading & Leeds. The alt-rap star was set to perform as the support for nu-metal legends KoRn last night (August 11), as they headed to Gunnersbury Park for what was their biggest UK show to date.Curry was set to take to the stage after earlier performances from Loathe, Wargasm and Spiritbox, though announced at the last minute that he had been forced to pull out of the event as he had lost his voice.According to an update, he debated whether or not to power through with the set in West London, but ultimately decided against it as he didn’t want to “risk further injury” or deliver a lacklustre performance. He also ensured that those disappointed would be accounted for, as he plans to bring the energy at the 2024 edition of Reading & Leeds.“To all my fans in London I apologise but I won’t be able to perform tonight due to losing my voice,” he began his statement on Instagram stories.“I think everyone knows how crazy I go when performing but the back-to-back shows have taken a toll on me, I don’t want to risk further injury to it or give a half-ass show… I’ll make it up to you at Reading & Leeds… that much I do promise.

Ex-Black Sabbath singer Tony Martin is “up for” working with Tony Iommi again
Black Sabbath frontman Tony Martin has spoken about the chances of a reunion with the band, and expressed that he is “up for” working with Tony Iommi again. The vocalist took on the role of frontman for the band for a brief time between the mid-’80s and late-’90s, when the group membership had shifted around founding guitarist Tony Iommi.Comprised of Iommi, Martin, legendary drummer Cozy Powell (Whitesnake, Jeff Beck, Rainbow), and long-time Sabbath collaborator and keyboardist Geoff Nicholls (Bandy Legs, Quartz), the line-up came two decades and multiple line-up changes into the band’s career. With him as the singer, the band released six albums: ‘The Eternal Idol’ (1987), ‘Headless Cross’ (1989), ‘Tyr’ (1990), ‘Cross Purposes’ (1994), ‘Cross Purposes Live’ (1995) and ‘Forbidden’ (1995). He was later removed from the role after Iommi reunited with his fellow original bandmates. Now – following the guitarist sharing a box set of the albums recorded with Martin earlier this year, titled ‘Anno Domini 1989-1995′ – the singer has confirmed that he is open to working with Iommi once again.“I would, and I’ve already said that if he felt like doing something I’d be up for it,” he told RockSverige during a new interview, before explaining that he doesn’t think it will be likely to materialise.“I don’t think Tony is really… I think he’s come to the end of his need to do things.

Watch Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith drum along to Bring Me The Horizon’s ‘Can You Feel My Heart’ – hearing it for the first time
Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith has attempted to play along to one of Bring Me The Horizon’s tracks as he heard it for the first time. Check it out below. The attempt took place as the funk rock drummer appeared on the latest episode of Drumeo’s ongoing For The First Time series – which sees famous faces come into the studio and attempt to immediately play a song as they hear it for the first time.Smith has already taken part in the series once before, and quickly proved that he has a seemingly limitless comfort zone as he played Thirty Seconds to Mars’ hit single ‘The Kill’ close to perfectly on the first attempt. Now, just shy of a year later, he has taken on the challenge once again, this time putting his own spin on Bring Me The Horizon’s hit track ‘Can You Feel My Heart?’.Sitting at the kit as the song begins to play, Smith quickly confirmed that, not only had he not heard the song before, but he didn’t recognise the band responsible for the TikTok-dominating hit either.“What the fuck is this?” he asks, hearing the opening synth lead and going on to find a tribal-inspired rhythm that matches the song’s tempo. While an alternate approach to that of what Mat Nicholl put down in the original studio recording, the improvised take by Smith still fits perfectly in the track and saw the drummer push far out of his usual style.
