Wet Leg have shared a music video for their latest single, ‘Oh No’, ahead of the release of their self-titled debut album.The video, which premiered on the band’s YouTube channel yesterday (February 1), was directed by Wet Leg themselves. Lead singer Rhian Teasdale, guitarist Hester Chambers and the band’s touring guitarist Joshua Omead Mobaraki are credited with filming the clip, which was shot on location in the band’s hometown, the Isle Of Wight.The video depicts Teasdale standing by the ocean, lip-syncing the song while the lyrics are displayed onscreen in the style of a karaoke video.

Cat Power, has revealed that Lana Del Rey was one of the few people to reach out to her after she was dropped by her label, Matador.In an interview with NME, Marshall shared that Del Rey invited her out on the road during a difficult time in her career.“When I was told that my last record ‘Wanderer’ was no good, there was a year where I didn’t have a label,” she told NME. “There’s about 200 people that were affiliated with what I thought was my family who never checked in with me… [I thought], ‘I guess I can sell my apartment and I’ll just raise my son, I’ll move somewhere and try to get into writing… I’m a really good waitress and cook and stuff, and I can just get a good stable job and start a different career’.”At the time Marshall said that she felt “totally not part of any musical community” and “dumped by my family”.

Bright Eyes have announced plans to reissue their entire back catalogue.The band – comprised of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcot – will reissue all nine of their studio albums along with a Companion EP for each LP featuring new recordings of songs from the original release plus a cover version from an artist they found particularly inspiring at the time.They will kick off the campaign on May 27, with their first three albums – ‘A Collection Of Songs Written And Recorded 1995-1997’, 1998’s ‘Letting Off The Happiness’ and 2000 LP ‘Fevers And Mirrors’. Radiohead side-project The Smile have announced a UK and European tour for 2022 – see all the details below.The trio – comprising Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner – released their debut single ‘You Will Never Work In Television Again’ and its follow-up ‘The Smoke’ earlier this month.The Smile then took to the stage for three gigs at the Magazine venue in London over the weekend (January 29/30), with each performance being live-streamed online.Today (February 1) it’s been confirmed that the band will hit the road this spring for a run of European headline shows. Alice Glass has revealed that the title of her forthcoming album is a nod to her former band Crystal Castles.Glass was speaking to NME for last week’s Big Read and reflected on her time leaving Crystal Castles after the release of their third album ‘III’.Three years after that in 2014, Glass released a statement about bandmate Ethan Kath, alleging that she’d been physically, sexually, and psychologically abused by her former bandmate. Kath has consistently denied the allegations.“Leaving Crystal Castles was the single most difficult decision I’ve ever made — that band was everything to me,” she wrote at the time. “My music, my performances and my fans were all I had in the world.

The Coral have announced the six acts that will be supporting them across their upcoming UK tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.Supporting The Coral at various shows on their twelve-date UK tour are Cut Glass Kids, Marvin Powell, The Dream Machine, Louis Croft, Rianne Downey and Brooke Combe. Black Country, New Road have announced that frontman Isaac Wood has left the band with immediate effect.The band, whose second album ‘Ants From Up There’ is due out this week (February 4), will continue as a six-piece, but their upcoming shows are cancelled. Radiohead spin-off The Smile have performed their first trio of gigs and fans have been reacting to the performance.The group, made up of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, performed three gigs at Magazine, London at 8pm last night (January 29) and 1am and 8am this morning (January30).Each of the shows were live streamed to audiences around the world so fans across different time zones could enjoy the performance.Highlights of the gigs according to fans on social media included Greenwood playing both a harp and piano simultaneously, a new version of ‘Skating On The Surface’ and a rendition of new single ‘The Smoke’. Fans also reacted to Peaky Blinders star Cilian Murphy reading a pre-recorded rendition of William Blake’s ‘The Smile’ at the start of the show.The group also played several new songs in addition to ones they premiered at the Glastonbury live-stream last year.
