Beabadoobee has announced a slew of North American tour dates for later in the year in support of her newly-released second album, ‘Beatopia’.Following US dates supporting Bleachers, festival appearances in Europe and Japan, and tours in Australia and the UK, Beabadoobee will kick off her North American headline run in late October, with dates running through to early December.Support on the tour will come from Beabadoobee’s Dirty Hit labelmates, Lowertown. The duo released their latest EP, ‘The Gaping Mouth’, last year.

Maya Hawke has released a raunchy music video to accompany ‘Thérèse’, the first single from her upcoming album ‘MOSS’.With the song itself carrying a gentle instrumental lull and delicate vocal melody, the accompanying music video – which was directed by Brady Corbet (Vox Lux) – sees Hawke and her friends participate in an orgy in a dark forest, soon to be caught by police. Andrew Bird has cancelled his upcoming performance at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire due to the ongoing heatwave.Bird was due to play the revered venue tomorrow (July 19) in support of his 13th studio album, last month’s ‘Inside Problems’. However, temperatures in London are predicted to hit 40 degrees Celsius (at the time of writing) by Tuesday afternoon, resulting in Bird cancelling his show.Taking to Twitter today (July 18), Bird offered up apologies to fans saying to go ahead with the event poses a risk.

Glass Animals have announced details of a tiny London show to ‘re-launch’ their 2020 album ‘Dreamland’ – find ticket details below.The band played Shoreditch venue Village Underground in early 2020, just before the pandemic hit, to preview cuts from what would become their third album.Now, they’ve announced a small gig at the same venue on August 25 to carry through “some of the things that were in our original plan” that were scuppered because of COVID.Frontman Dave Bayley explained: “Back in 2020 we had this delicately constructed, intricate plan to launch Dreamland with a bunch of special shows, signings and real-life events.“Then… we got spanked by the pandemic and we had to tear our plan in half. I was pretty damn sad for a bit, but eventually the support from everyone on the web was so great that it pulled me out of my mind-hole and I realised we could make a new plan… One based on the magnificent wonder that is the internet.”The frontman added: “We did that and it was absolutely wicked, but I still feel like we missed out on the IRL stuff.

The Maccabees‘ Felix and Hugo White have announced that they’ve formed a new band with brother Will called 86TVs.As revealed by Felix today (July 15), the band played a debut gig for friends and family at London’s Omeara last night, with new music and further live performances promised before the end of the year. The band is completed by Jamie Morrison on drums.“I’ve been making a record with my brothers for the past few years,” Felix wrote on Instagram alongside footage of last night’s gig.

Poster Paints, the Scottish indie-pop duo made up of vocalist Carla J Easton of TeenCanteen and Frightened Rabbit‘s Simon Liddell, have announced their debut album.The pair first met through Eugene Kelly of The Vaselines, for whom Easton has played keyboards. Interpol frontman Paul Banks has spoken out over how people’s fears are being exploited for “political gain”.In a new interview with NME, the band opened about their new album ‘The Other Side Of Make Believe’ and how it was one of their darkest records.“What I’m interested in exploring is not so much ‘what is the meaning’ as ‘what is meaning, and how is it formed?’ I think meaning doesn’t exist: it’s just the by-product of the language we use to describe,” Banks said when talking about the record.He continued: “What’s really unsettling is the way people have started seeing this as an area for exploitation.
