Destroyer have announced their new album ‘Dan’s Boogie’ and have shared its lead single ‘Bologna’ – check it out below.The Canadian indie rock band, led by Dan Bejar, have also announced details of a string of UK and European tour dates for this summer, which will see them play in Manchester, Bristol and London. Scroll down for all of the dates.‘Dan’s Boogie’ will be the band’s 14th studio album in total and the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Labyrinthitis’, and will be released via Merge Records on March 28.

Dan Bejar has spent the past quarter-century articulating the thoughts of surrealists, nihilists, and aphorists. From his 1996 debut We’ll Build Them a Golden Bridge, the title of which is an allusion to Tolstoy, through the 2011 breakthrough Kaputt, up to 2020’s masterful Have We Met, the Vancouver-based solo artist has explored the fringes of syntax just as much as he has the outer limits of sophisti-pop and soft rock. His protagonists have, like erudite barflies at the end of the night, been difficult to fully comprehend — and they often disappear as soon as they arrive.

Dan Bejar has shared a new video for "foolssong," the closing song from Destroyer's latest LP Have We Met. Footage for the video was shot by director's David Galloway and David Ehrenreich during Destroyer's recent tour, which was cut short by the spread of COVID-19.
