PUBG Mobile has reportedly generated over US$5billion in revenue since it first launched in 2018.Analysis firm Sensor Tower shared the news via a new report on its blog on March 25. Per its report, Sensor Tower says the popular battle royale mobile game has generated over US$5.1billion in revenue through player spending.Per the data shared by Sensor Tower, PUBG Mobile – and its Chinese version Game For Peace –  the game generated an average of $7.4million per day from player spending alone last year, totalling to $2.7billion in revenue in 2020.

Rocket League developer Psyonix has announced a new mobile game, titled Rocket League Sideswipe.The developer announced the mobile game via its official website on Wednesday, March 24. Per its announcement, the game will be available for free on iOS and Android devices sometime this year, although a firm release date has not been announced.The game will take the “core, competitive gameplay of Rocket League” and reworks it for a mobile platform.

Pokémon GO developer Niantic has announced that it has “issued punishments to more than 5 million cheaters” across several of its games since 2020.The developer shared the news via a blogpost on Tuesday, February 23, in which it detailed a number of anti-cheat measurements that it has adopted to make its games a fair experience for all players.Niantic shared that it does not typically talk about its anti-cheat measures as “we don’t want to provide cheaters with information that can help them understand our detection mechanisms better”.
