Louis police detective Donald Thurmond virtually testified in a Tennessee courtroom last week during a remote bail hearing for Terica Ellis, one of the three defendants in the case.

According to Thurmond’s testimony, Ellis and Montgomery Jr.’s uncle, James Timothy Norman, met at a club where she danced and were previously intimate.

Ellis, 36, is accused of conspiring with Norman to orchestrate the murder of Montgomery Jr. using pre-paid cell phones. Both Ellis and Norman, 41, face charges of conspiracy to commit murder for hire or murder for hire resulting in death.
