Met Office has issued a yellow warning for parts of England between 11am and 3pm today.Following the chaos of Storm Eunice, parts of Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the Peak District have been warned of temporary disruption to travel from wintry weather. Some areas are expected to see between 2cm and 4cm of snow fall over the four-hour period.
The warning said: "A short period of heavy snow may cause some temporary disruption on roads, mainly across higher ground such as the Peak District."Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services."Rain may turn to heavy snow in a few places later this morning and early this afternoon. "This is most likely on roads above 200 metres elevation, such as across the Peak District, but also a lower likelihood to some lower elevations in Yorkshire."Some places could see 2-4 cm of slushy snow which could build up quite quickly, before conditions ease from the west this afternoon."The latest weather warnings come after Storm Eunice swept across the UK sending wheelie bins and trampolines flying.
The windy weather sparked danger to life weather warnings, killing four people and causing damage to the O2 arena which could be closed for months for repair.
Wind speeds as high as 122mph tore through the dome structure, leaving a tattered gash in the building's roof. The O2 has confirmed that it will be remaining closed today while the extent of the damage is assessed. The UK has not yet seen the last of the devastating Storm Eunice, with fierce gales and snow set to last for another 60 hours.
