Firefighters are tackling a blaze that has broken out at Swansea University's new campus. Thick black smoke was seen billowing from the roof of the central engineering building at its Bay Campus.
At least five fire engines Wales' Fire and Rescue Service confirmed firefighters arrived at Fabian Way at 6.08pm and are continuing to deal with the fire.
Reports say that no one was in the building when the fire started. The pyre of smoke could be seen from across the city, reports Wales Online.
Swansea University said on Twitter: "We are aware of a fire in Engineering Central at the Bay Campus. "The fire service is in attendance.
