The likes of Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco have all implemented measures to help customers and staff feel safe when going for their regular shop.Supermarkets across the country saw huge queues outside branches as shops moved to limit the number of people entering during the height of the pandemic.Scots shoppers have seen some measures ease in recent months with the number of cases falling as a result of nationwide lockdown measures.
But new infections have been creeping up in the last few weeks, with fears that a winter lockdown could be announced in the coming days.
