A Manchester student who missed her final year of school battling anxiety has defied the odds and started her degree.Daisy Dalton went to Parrs Wood Sixth Form College in East Didsbury but missed her mock exams and feared she’d miss out on her place at University Academy 92 in Trafford.But this week, she finally began her degree in Sports and Exercise Science at the Old Trafford campus, despite a very tough few months.The eighteen-year-old said she is ‘grateful and excited and looking forward to having a chance to find out who I am’, after finding the road to higher education bumpier than most.Daisy has suffered with anxiety over a number of years, which meant she missed her mock A Level exams.She said: “I’d missed out on a few weeks of.
