BBC bosses have made a huge change to the Strictly Come Dancing schedule for its quarter-final week. The main show has been swapped from its regular Saturday slot on December 3 to 8pm on Friday, December 2 because of the FIFA World Cup's televised fixtures on the channel.
The results show will then air on Saturday at the earlier time of 5.40pm. Instead of Strictly on Sunday, BBC1 will show England v Senegal with a 7pm kick off - the usual time of the results show.
Strictly isn't the first show to be given a scheduling shake-up to accommodate the world cup. Soaps EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale have all been disrupted since the competition began in Qatar.
