Steve Martin’s hapless character is set to reunite with his family for a one-off special. It's comeback marks almost three decades since he walked daughter Annie down the aisle in 1991 film.
In the 1995 sequel he welcomed a child and a grandchild, both now 25. The actor, 75, teased a clip announcing the return of the Banks family “for a very special event”.
The stars caught up via video call which was arranged by screen son Matty, played by Kieran Culkin. Franck, played by Martin Short, is back along with Annie, Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
