At this point, slackened genius Stephen Malkmus's solo career has lasted far longer than his time fronting indie rock legends Pavement.
Over the past two decades, he's dipped his toes into various subgenres of rock, folk, and even electronic music, and the now-53-year-old is only getting more eclectic with age.
