For the past year or so, the UK’s 7.9 million singletons have had to rely on virtual Zoom hook-ups or chaste walks in the park.

But with all the restrictions lifting at last, a summer of love beckons. Yet, there’s one thing to be aware of – the emergence of a sexually-transmitted disease [STD] super strain.

According to the Sexual Health Hub, the latest strain of “super gonorrhoea” may be untreatable as the bacteria that causes it has built up a resistance to azithromycin – an antibiotic commonly used to treat the STD.
