Stacey Dooley was reportedly "sacked" by the BBC as the host of Glow Up after she fronted a hair product ad campaign. The Strictly Come Dancing winner was said to have shown a clear disregard for the rules after taking part in the campaign for Clairol.
The ads saw the 34-year-old jump around in a leotard with her hair freshly dyed. But chiefs at the Beeb thought that the scenes were too similar to the format of the BBC Three show Glow Up, which sees make-up artists take part in challenges in a bid to showcase their skills.
According to BBC rules, any actors or artists contracted to them can not appear in any adverts that "mimic or replicate their on-air roles for the BBC".
