Sir Alex Ferguson is facing another battle with neighbours who want to build a three-storey mansion next door to his home. Plans for the new property were rejected in November after the football legend complained it was too big and poorly designed.
The 78-year-old former Manchester United manager lives in a £2.3million house in Wilmslow, Cheshire, with his wife Cathy. His next-door neighbours Peter and Josephine Wilson have submitted new proposals to demolish their existing two-storey home and replace it with a larger property.
The couple are selling their house and interested parties have indicated they want permission for the plans before making an offer.
