Most people who have been 'shielding' during lockdown can stop from next week, official guidance says. England's extremely clinically vulnerable adults and children are being encouraged back to work and school from next week.
The national lockdown ends on December 2, and Boris Johnson today outlined the next steps. The Prime Minister told the nation a revised three-tier system will replace the lockdown.
Exactly which areas will be under each tier is set to be announced on Thursday. The new measures also bring a reset on guidance for the most vulnerable groups, after another four weeks in lockdown.
Throughout the Autumn lockdown, the clinically vulnerable 'shielding' group had been asked to stay home as much as possible once again.
