SPFL have called on the Scottish Government to start planning for fans returning to football grounds after a welcome announcement down south.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has revealed a framework to allow supporters in England back into stadia as the blanket three-week lockdown is set to conclude early next month.

In the plans that come into place from December 2, up to 4,000 people can attend games in Tier 1 areas, while the permitted number is half that for Tier 2.

And the Joint Response Group - led by Ian Maxwell and Neil Doncaster of the two main governing bodies in Scottish football - believe it's time for First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to come up with a similar solution.
