Ofcom receives dozens, sometimes even thousands, of calls every day, as Brits up and down the country voice their concerns over the TV shows on their screens.

The government-approved regulatory authority is responsible for investigating the complaints and reports made about all sorts of broadcasted content.

Sometimes, shows cause such an offence, that viewers call for the series to be "banned" going forward. While Ofcom can raise a red flag about a controversial show, it is up to the network to actually cancel a TV series.

Between 2010 and 2020, seven TV shows caused more outrage than any others, racking up thousands of angry calls from viewers.
