Arsenal have made under Mikel Arteta - fuelling talk of a transfer reunion. The Bayern Munich ace, 26, made his professional debut for the Gunners in 2012 following a £100k move from Stuttgart as a teenager.
However, Gnabry found first-team chances limited at the Emirates and a loan spell at West Brom also proved unsuccessful in advancing his career.Having been told he was not good enough by Baggies boss Tony Pulis, the German opted to return to his homeland, sealing a £5m switch to Werder Bremen.
But Gnabry has always maintained that Arsenal holds a strong place in his heart. Now, with just 12 months remaining on his contract in Bavaria, the 26-year-old is said to be keen on a new challenge this summer.
Gnabry has refused to pen a new deal with the Bundesliga champions, fuelling speculation of an Emirates comeback. "If possible, I’m watching the games because I still carry the gun in my heart," said Gnabry in March. "Of course, I’m happy when Arsenal is playing well and win, especially now, while Arsenal is coming back stronger."HAVE YOUR SAY!
