Etihad boss Pep Guardiola is expected to reluctantly sanction the sale if Jesus says he wants to go.City, who have signed two new strikers for next season in Erland Haaland and Julian Alvarez, would want £60million for Jesus.
The fact that Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League will not deter the striker from moving to London. The Gunners finished fifth in the Premier League and will instead be involved in the Europa League - and they are increasingly optimistic that they will try to win that competition with Jesus in their ranks.On Friday, Arsenal confirmed that Alexandre Lacazette is leaving north London on a free this summer, with the striker expected to re-join Lyon.
