A killer blaze has torn through a family theme park on the first day of a national holiday in China, killing at least 13 people.
Screams of terror were heard as visitors ran for their lives as flames engulfed an exhibition centre in the Taitaishan theme park.
The fire is thought to have started in an area with ice lanterns and snow sculptures were on display. Thick smoke could be seen in the skies above the theme park in Taiyuan city as fire crews and ambulances raced to the scene.
At least a dozen other people were taken to hospital with a range of injuries. Thousands of tourists were in the area for the beginning of the eight-day holiday for Golden Week.
