Police have urged Scots not to travel outwith their local authority this Easter weekend, as patrols are increased in beauty spot areas.
Popular beaches and parks in the Ayrshire area will be patrols by extra police. Officers warn that, although there has been some easing of restrictions, people should not travel outwith their local authority area other than for essential purposes.
This weekend up to four adults from two households can meet outdoors with social distancing.Police say local communities in the Ayrshire areas have been hit with anti-social behaviour including damage to property, fire setting and the consumption of alcohol which puts young people at risk.It comes as Glasgow officers plan to increase patrols at the city’s west end.
