The Whisky and Burns New Cycle Route kicks off in Powfoot and ends in Dumfries, with heaps of fascinating stops along the way.
We're talking a tour of the Annandale Distillery where you can sample that world-famous whisky, historic castle ruins for explorers, hotspots visited by national poet Robert Burns, bustling harbours, fascinating museums and even a tour of haunted sites if you want to go in search of ghosts.
Annandale Distillery, Nithbank Estate and VisitScotland have partnered up to launch the new venture, which sees cyclists covering approximately 30 miles every day.
