Scotland first drive-in Christmas panto to take place in Glasgow and Edinburgh

Christmas panto is set to take place in car parks across Scotland during this year’s festive period. Scots families are preparing for Christmas without panto or light switch ons this year as events continue to be axed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But the crew behind Horrible Histories’ stage productions is hoping to save Christmas with the ‘world’s first drive-in Christmas show’ in December 2020.

Horrible Christmas, which will be performed in partnership between the Birmingham Stage Company and Horrible Histories, will tell of how the winter holiday came to be what it is today.

It will tell the story of how a young boy tries to save Christmas after it comes under threat from a jolly man dressed in red.
