Some headteachers are warning they can only reopen until lunchtime as they welcome children back in September following the coronavirus crisis.
The decision would defy the Government's promise to have children back in lessons full-time and leave many parents in further turmoil.
Parents who have been homeschooling their children in the coronavirus lockdown are looking ahead to next term with full classes set to return in September.
Families might expect to pick up their children from school at 3.15pm from Monday to Friday. But many have received emails from teaching staff telling them they will only educate their children until lunchtime on at least one day of the week, the Daily Mail reports.
