Schoolchildren must keep wearing face coverings after Easter, government says

The precautionary measure will remain in place for at least the next six weeks following a review of the regulations. Secondary school and college students are currently expected to wear face coverings in classrooms as well as in other communal areas.

The government said it expects the rules on face coverings in schools to be lifted at Step 3 of the lockdown roadmap, which will take place from May 17 at the earliest.
