A schoolboy who was told he would never walk now plays football after an “amazing gift” by strangers. Kyle Weaver’s parents battled to raise £60,500 to fly him to the US for a pioneering private operation and intensive physiotherapy.
Sam, 41, and Simon, 43, managed to collect more than £30,000 and were then given £22,500 by Kevin and Christine Williams. The couple, who the Weavers did not know, had been fundraising for daughter Abigail but she became too poorly for stem cell therapy.
