Pupils were supposed to be in the classroom on Wednesday, December 23. But now South Ayrshire Council has decided to let them have the day off.They will finish up on Tuesday, December 22 at 2.30pm instead - giving them an extra day at home this festive season.The move comes as education bosses try to make sure the festive period is not spoilt by isolation.Council leader Peter Henderson, SNP, said: “We are trying to make sure there are no hiccups for Christmas.
