Back in March, when the cinemas around the world began to shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, analysts were hoping it would only last for a couple of months, maybe three or four, at the most.
Seven months later, and though many cinemas are open, tickets are barely being sold and the outlook appears to be grim. Now, the National Association of Theater Owners (NATO) is here with a Hail Mary pass (to use a football term) to save cinemas.
