Sara Davies shared a heartwarming tribute to her Strictly Come Dancing professional Aljaž Škorjanec after he announced his exit from the beloved TV show.On Monday (March 28), the 32-year-old revealed he has made the decision to leave the popular BBC One dance competition after nine years as a beloved professional ballroom dancer.As the new circulated of his exit from the show, the Dragon’s Den investor took to her Instagram account to share a slew of adorable snaps of the dancing duo from their time on the TV competition.Alongside the sweet behind-the-scenes snaps of the pair rehearsing tirelessly for the show, the 37-year-old revealed how her dance partner has become “a part of my family” over the course of their six-month journey.She wrote: “so the news has come out today about @alijazskorjanec leaving @bbcstrictly.“The moment I agreed to so Strictly I knew I wanted to be partnered with Alijaz … I couldn’t put my finger on exactly why, I just knew there was something really special about him.“I knew that if I was going to do the show I hoped (and told everyone I could that would listen that I hoped) that Alijaz would be my partner.“Little did I know at that point I would be dancing his last series with him.”The star gushed how her dance partner has gone on to become one of her best friends since she took part on the show and praised his impact on the show since he joined in 2013.She added: “The biggest question I get asked about him all the time is, ‘Is he really as lovely as he comes across’.“And my response is always, ‘I’ve had the privilege of not only being taught by him, and dancing with him, but also of him becoming a part of my family and one of my best friends, and I can tell you he’s even more amazing in real.
