Santander has apologised to Scots due to heavy disruption to its services throughout today. The banking firm said that a ‘technical problem’ has resulted in customers unable to use ATMs and its mobile banking apps.

Customers have been urged to use other bank’s ATMs or withdraw cash at the Post Office while the technical issues are being resolved.
