Eight people are on trial at Preston Crown Court accused of murdering 19-year-old Aya Hachem - with the court being told the shooting was connected to a feud between rival businesses.

Aya, described as the 'most loyal devoted daughter', was gunned down on a shopping trip at around 3pm on May 17 last year on King Street in Blackburn, LancsLive reports.

The student was killed by a gunshot wound when two shots were fired from a passing silver Toyota Avensis as she walked near the Lidl supermarket.
