Salford man charged with attempted murder following shooting in Lancashire

A Salford man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was shot in the face in Lancashire. The victim, a man in his 20s, was found with serious facial injuries in an alley behind Skipton Street in Morecambe at around 6pm last Monday (November 15).

He was taken to hospital and still remains in a 'serious but stable condition', Lancashire Live reports. Joshua David Giles, 19, of Pendlebury Road, Swinton, is now the second man charged with attempted murder.

He has been remanded into custody to appear before magistrates today (November 22). Seven other men, women and youths have been arrested or charged in connection with the incident, Lancashire Police said.
