Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s is facing a backlash from disgruntled customers after removing free parking from one of its stores.
The cheeky move has been branded ‘bonkers’ by one shopper who claims the parking change might discriminate against disabled customers.
Sainsbury's confirmed today they haven't ruled out the removal of free parking in Scottish stores, and it will depend on each individual shop location.
Facing the heat of loyal shoppers, Sainsbury’s insisted the change is to ensure there is adequate parking for shoppers. The supermarket got rid of free parking at one of its stores in Yorkshire recently, angering loyal shopper Owen McMahon.
