Budget airline Ryanair says it won't be issuing cash refunds until after the coronavirus crisis is over - with passengers being told to wait months for their money back amid an income crisis.

Travellers who have had previous - or future - flights cancelled due to Covid-19 are instead being offered vouchers or an alternative flight for a later date.

However, those who exercise their rights for a full refund are being told to wait in a queue - with refunds set to be issued after the crisis eases.

The airline, which is based in Dublin, Ireland, slashed pay for some colleagues by up to 50% last month, while pilots and cabin crew have been placed on the Irish version of furlough - the Irish Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme (TWSS).
