Retired UFC icon Khabib Nurmagomedov has received an offer to join an "ambitious" football team in his homeland. FC Kamaz, who play in the third-tier Russian Professional Football League, have outlined their intention to recruit Khabib to bolster their hopes of promotion to the Football National League (FNL).
Khabib retired from the UFC last October after defending his lightweight championship for a third time with a resounding victory over Justin Gaethje.
He has made no secret of his love of football in the past, admitting he "dreamed of being a football player". Khabib, who is a Real Madrid fan, was even spotted with Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk in Dubai earlier this week.
