just reported some heavy news from the set of The Batman, the much-anticipated superhero movie starring , Zoë Kravitz, and Jeffrey Wright.
Robert, the film's lead, tested positive for coronavirus. Warner Bros. released a statement this afternoon saying, "A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.
Filming is temporarily paused." The studio didn't name Robert or reveal if he is experiencing symptoms, but Vanity Fair later confirmed it was him.
Filming began in January 2020, but when it became clear COVID-19 was a major threat to the health and safety of everyone, production halted.
