Rita Ora’s 30th birthday party was not captured on camera according to a former employee, who told police he was asked to turn off the cameras. The Your Song singer apologised after hosting a group of friends for dinner at the Casa Cruz restaurant in Notting Hill last November despite lockdown measures at the time banning indoor meetings.
In her apology, Rita described it as a ‘spur of the moment’ decision, admitted she was ‘embarrassed’ and had paid a fine as a gesture of goodwill.
Police are trying to get the restaurant’s licence revoked ahead of a hearing on Thursday.Details from a licence review report states that police were told CCTV at the restaurant was turned off on the day of the event at the request of security of the entourage.
