Ricky Gervais has reportedly responded to Stewart Lee's claims that After Life was the "worst this ever made".The British comedian premiered the final season of his dark comedy show earlier this year.In the series Ricky Gervais stars as local journalist Tony Johnson, who is on the verge of killing himself after losing his wife.READ MORE: Inside Ricky Gervais and Tom Hanks tumultuous relationship after awkward run ins Stewart Lee has recently described the Netflix show as "one of the worst things that's ever been made by a human" in a podcast interview with Rob Brydon on his show Brydon &.Ricky Gervais has not directly responded to Stewart's comments however yesterday he tweeted: "Watch the award-winning, record-breaking #AfterLife Now streaming on Netflix around the world.”Along with his tweet he shared a clip from After Life where his character Tony, calls someone else a “fat, hairy, nosy c**ksucker”.Viewers also noticed that Ricky had liked several tweets about Stewart Lee.

One of the tweets that he liked said: “I don’t even know who Stewart Lee is however, his comments about After Life really makes him look like a sad, bitter individual.” This comes after Ricky explained that he was forced to change the ending of the show having spoken to some mental health experts.

In May the comedian told the Daily Star Sunday: “While I was writing the show, therapists came up to me to talk about it.“One counsellor said to me, ‘Please don’t let Tony commit suicide’."The counsellors told the 60-year-old that they were using After Life as a part of grief counselling. "I took that on board.

And it decided it for me. That’s the reason I didn’t write that as the ending.“In the show, Tony went home and carried on and eventually he won’t.
