Join thousands of others in getting the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox.Children and young people in Renfrewshire are set to benefit from more than £400,000 of funding to help create opportunities to socialise, play and reconnect this summer.The local authority will be given the £436,000 boost from the Scottish Government to help provide summer activities for youngsters who have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.Renfrewshire Council, and all other areas across the country, will receive a share of the £20million to specifically target those aged up to 25 from low income households who may otherwise struggle to access such experiences during the holidays.Neighbouring East Renfrewshire Council will receive.
