A "reckless" teenager has been fined £10,000 under tougher coronavirus rules after he hosted a house party for more than 50 guests, say police.
It is claimed the 19-year-old was hostile when council community protection officers turned up at the party in Lenton, Nottingham, after being tipped off by neighbours at about 10.20pm.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to support and found around 50 people in the address who were all ordered to leave, before the host was given a fine, a spokesperson said.
The force claims the teen was given the chance to shut down Friday's party, before he was fined. It came as Britons were warned against having a "party weekend" before the "rule of six" restrictions come into force in England, Wales and Scotland
