Manchester United have been linked with a move for defender Dayot Upamecano and the Frenchman's current club RB Leipzig have responded to the reports on social media.
The 21-year-old was linked with several top European clubs in January but ultimately signed a new deal with Leipzig last month.Under the terms of his previous contract, Upamecano had a €60m (£54.1m) release clause and his new deal is said to include a lower €42m (£37.4m) release clause that will not come into effect until next summer.As a result, United may have to fork out a bumper transfer fee to persuade Leipzig to part ways with their star defender.And Leipzig were quick to remind United of Upamecano's new contract, who reshared their announcement of the deal with the tag.
