Manchester United are reportedly turning their attentions to Watford's Ismaila Sarr after Liverpool opted against signing the forward.
Sarr was a target for the Premier League champions but Watford's valuation forced Liverpool to move for Wolves ' Diogo Jota instead.
The Hornets were demanding £40million for their star man - a similar fee to the one taking Jota to Anfield, though Liverpool are paying just a fraction of it up front.
Their ability to land Jota for a small initial financial outlay has left Sarr on the market with United now looking to pounce.
