Manchester United from Barcelona before the summer transfer window shuts. Red Devils executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is in talks with the La Liga giants over a potential deal.

United have prioritised a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho all summer but have failed to come to an agreement over a fee.

Dortmund’s insistance that the Premier League club would have to pay their £108m valuation means United are looking elsewhere.

France international Dembele is wanted on loan and United have proposed a season-long deal to Barcelona, according to the Daily Record .
