Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has held talks with Erling Haaland's dad as the German gaffer looks to win the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund superstar.Rangnick remains close with father Alfe-Inge Haaland from his time at Red Bull Salzburg, and it was the new Man Utd boss who oversaw Erling's arrival from Molde in 2018.
The German was sporting director at both RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig from 2012-2021 before taking on a similar role at Lokomotiv Moscow, from where United poached him in November.And now it seems that Rangnick is using his old connections to try and bolster the Red Devils' chances of penning a deal for Haaland when his release clause can be activated in 2022.The Manchester Evening News report the Norwegian.
