Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

The Queen will be celebrating her official birthday celebrations without her kids and grandkids this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.Along with her family, Her Majesty typically stands on the Buckingham Palace balcony to enjoy the Trooping of the Colour – but this year it's been cancelled.The ceremony has been a part of the official royal calendar for 260 years and this is only the second time it's been called off.The first was in 1955 due to a national rail strike.This is her Majesty's first official event outdoors since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis.She is celebrating her official 94th birthday at Windsor Castle with a new parade of a small number of Welsh Guardsmen and military musicians.Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her.
